Sautaillet is the Savoyard Morzine dialect word for Grasshopper, affectionately named by the couple who built this traditional timber chalet in 1980.

This is our cherished family mountain home where we spend our winters skiing and summers mountain biking and hiking. When we’re not here, we open our doors to visiting families and outdoor lovers who appreciate authentic charm over sterile resort apartments.

How do we get to the ski slopes from Chalet Sautaillet? ↓

You have three easy options: (1) Walk up to the Les Prodains 3S cable car in 11 minutes (our favourite morning warm-up); (2) Hop on the free Line A shuttle bus at the Les Lans stop (3 mins walk from chalet), which drops you at the gondola in 2 minutes; or (3) Take the Line A bus in the other direction into Morzine town centre (approx. 8 minutes).

What is the bedroom configuration? Room breakdown ↓

The chalet has three double bedrooms comfortably sleeping 6 adults/children, plus a dedicated children's TV snug/den for movie nights and downtime. There is a full family bathroom with bath and shower, separate WC, and an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a log fire.

Is there parking and equipment storage? ↓

Yes. There is private driveway parking outside the chalet (please bring snow chains or winter tyres in heavy winter weather). The ground floor features a secure garage and ski boot room equipped with a heated electric boot dryer.

What amenities are provided in the kitchen and living room? ↓

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, raclette machine, and fondue sets. The living room includes board games, puzzles, high-speed WiFi, firewood for the log burner, and an honesty drinks cabinet.
